Fishing Management Zone 17 - Proposed Changes to Coldwater Fishing Regulations (Brown and Brook Trout Catch and Possession Limits)

The MNR is currently working with the FMZ 17 Advisory Council to develop proposals affecting the fishing regulations for some coldwater fish species. We are now seeking input from the public on a proposed change to brown trout and brook trout catch and possession limits in FMZ 17.

Comments may be provided through the Fisheries Management Options Questionnaire, which is available online, or by e-mail to FishPTBO@ontario.ca.

Alternatively, hard copies of the questionnaire are available from the Peterborough District office, located at 300 Water Street, Peterborough, ON.

The deadline to submit survey responses is November 30, 2013.

The results of the survey will inform the decision making around the proposed changes to the regulation, as well as assist the ministry in identifying angler priorities for Zone 17.

If implemented, changes may be reflected in the 2015 Ontario Fishing Regulations Summary.
