Wastewater System Assessment & Inventory Project by CLFN Lands Department
The Lands Department of Curve Lake First Nation is conducting a project concerning community wide waste water systems (septics). Septic systems are a vital resource in managing waste, and if not maintained, pose a risk of contaminating our land and communal ground water systems. We are requesting your assistance in obtaining information on your septic systems for this important study.
We have contracted a qualified company to carry out the work. We are hopeful that you, Curve Lake Members, can locate and volunteer any information you may have on your septics. Recordsof inspections, installation dates, etc. What we are hoping to achieve from the study is to identify potential environmental risks, vulnerable septics, information to qualify an overall action plan for the community wide remediation where necessary and ongoing maintenance. We have advanced to the stage to which we require volunteers for a full septic inspection. This inspection will be completed at NO COST to you. We are looking for septics that are particularly vulnerable or over 25 years old.
