Introducing……the Safe Travels Program (starts August 01, 2017)

What is it?

Low cost safe rides to and from Curve Lake to Lakefield, Bridgenorth and Peterborough!!! This a way to help you go shopping, work, go to school or take advantage of all of the services off reserve.

For students going to school at Trent University or Sir Sanford Fleming College, this service will save you the cost for parking fees…

Now you can take that night school course without having to worry about driving at night...

Now you can go swimming year round at the YMCA sports and recreation Centre – go to the Zoo – go to musical events (Folk Festival, Del Creary Music Fest, Rib Fest and so much more…

For those that are looking for jobs…there’s plenty of jobs in Lakefield, Selwyn, Bridgenorth or Peterborough..

For students who need 40 hours of placement…take advantage of the volunteer opportunities in Peterborough

Who can use it? 
Anyone living in the Curve Lake community can use this service

How much does it cost?
One way ticket costs $2.50
Return trip ticket costs $5.00
Monthly pass ticket is $25.00 (unlimited usage)

Who do I pay and how do I get a seat ticket?
Call Noreen or Kristin at the band office (705) 657-8045 to purchase a ticket that you will give to the driver.

Where can I catch the ride? (see attached schedule for pick up/drop off locations)

Van will leave from the Health Centre starting at 7:00 a.m. and every 2.5 hours until last call 9:00 p.m.
