FCAC’s Financial Literacy Month Video Contest
As part of Canada’s Financial Literacy Month, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) is challenging all Canadians between the ages of 13 and 19 to submit a thirty-second to two-minute long video showing how talking with someone about money, helped them achieve a financial goal.
To be eligible, the video must show “How talking about money with... helped me…” It must also end with the line “Financial Understanding. It Just Adds Up.”
The videos of all eligible participants must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. EST on November 30, 2013 and will be evaluated for messaging, creativity, and production quality by a jury of three judges selected by FCAC.
The videos of up to eight finalists will be identified on FCAC’s YouTube channel at the beginning of December.
There are cool prizes to be won!
The jury’s top three videos will win:
- 1st place: a 13” MacBook Pro
- 2nd place: a 16-GB iPad with Wi-Fi
- 3rd place: an 8-GB iPod Touch.
PLUS, the video that gets the most “Likes” on YouTube by 11:59 pm EST on December 11, 2013 will win a special “People’s Choice” award of a $50 iTunes gift card.
All winners will be announced by December 13, 2013 on FCAC’s website.
