CLFN Education

The Education Department is responsible for the education of members from the time they enter Daycare through to Post-Secondary opportunities at Colleges or Universities.

The Education staff encourages achievement of our students; and welcome the opportunity to assist students and their families through junior kindergarten to Post-Secondary with academic success and financial support.

O'shkiigmong Early Learning Centre - CLFN Day Care Centre

CLFN Daycare

The Curve Lake First Nation Day Care has been in operation for 41 years. They have infant, toddler, pre-school, and school-age play rooms. Nineteen staff tend to the needs of children from infancy until grade 3. The Day Care offers care for the children of Curve Lake members and employees of the First Nation.

Curve Lake First Nation School

CLFN School

The Curve Lake First Nation School has been locally operated since 1995. The School offers primary programming from junior Kindergarten to grade 3. The Junior and Senior Kindergarten classes are full time programs offering the students play centered learning opportunities. Language and Culture are embedded within the programming. Parent and volunteer involvement is welcomed and encouraged.

Provincial Tuition

The Provincial Tuition program provides eligible students between the ages of 4 -21 living on reserve with elementary and secondary education programs in provincial schools where there is no on reserve school. This program supports students attending provincial schools with tuition and busing.

Post-Secondary Student Support Program

The Post-Secondary program supports the participation and success of members in their pursuit of post-secondary education, by providing financial support for students in recognized University or College program.

New Paths

New Paths funding supports CLFN School projects aimed at strengthening the First Nation education management and governance capacities, to enrich the overall student experience.

First Nation Student Success Program

The FNSSP mandate is to increase literacy and numeracy achievement to prepare the primary students transition to the provincial school system. Three program components work together to achieve this goal; school success plans, student learning assessments, and performance measurement.

Special Education
