CLFN Annual Pow Wow

September 15, 2018 - September 16, 2018

Please join us for our annual Pow wow on Saturday, September 15th, and Sunday, September 16th, 2018 at Lance Wood Park!

Sunrise ceremony – 6 am both days

Grand Entry – 12 pm both days

Admission Rates
$8 each – 13 to 54-years-old
$5 each – Seniors (55 and older) and 6 to 12-year-olds
Free –  children 5-years-old and under

Safe Travels Program will be running Pow Wow weekend – September 15th and 16th, 2018. The shuttle is a limited run from the Curve Lake Church to the Peterborough Bus Terminal only. The cost is free for everyone to enjoy the Pow Wow! The bus will be leaving Curve Lake Church at the following times:

The Pow Wow/Culture Committee is gearing up for the annual Curve Lake Pow Wow on September 15th & 16th, 2018 and are seeking the following:

Head Dancers (Adult Male & Female and Youth Male & Female)
applicants must be familiar with protocol and responsibilities.

By volunteering, you participate in helping our community meet the needs of providing an enjoyable and safe Pow Wow for the visitor and instilling pride in your culture.

According to the Volunteer Policy (Dec 19th, 2016), we will need from volunteers:

  • Canadian Police Information Check (CPIC) with Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
  • Read and sign the following documentation of Curve Lake First Nation policies and procedures such as: Human Resources Management Manual – Statement of Acknowledgement, Code of Conduct, Statement of Confidentiality and Information Form.
