General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for the overall management of the organization of Curve Lake First Nation. Within the present organization structure, the General Manager regularly reports to Council as a whole and is their link to Administration.

The General Manager regularly interacts with members and non-members alike to ensure that programs and services are provided properly and to maintain policy, by-law, and procedural integrity.

In addition to this, the General Manager acts as a source person to various Committees of Council.

Executive Services

The Executive Secretary is responsible for providing executive services to both the Chief and General Manager. Individuals wishing to be added to the Council agenda or for more information regarding upcoming Council Meetings, please contact the Executive Secretary.

Membership

The Membership Clerk is responsible for issuing status cards to eligible Curve Lake members under the Indian Act. Due to the shortage of cards available to the First Nation, at this time, we are only able to issue cards to Curve Lake members.

Hours of Operation

Wednesday and Thursday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

In order to access the Membership services during the hours of operation, please make an appointment with the Membership Clerk.

Application forms for Indian Status Registration can be found at the Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada website.

Note: please ensure you bring a 1’ by 1’ current photograph and valid photo identification when applying for a status card.

Reception

The Receptionist is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support in order to ensure that the First Nation government services are provided in an effective and efficient manner.

Human Resources

The Human Resources Coordinator is a centralized service provider for the entire organization. In this capacity, the office supports the organization in achieving a high quality workforce and workplace. This is achieved through; human resource management, awards, recognition, and special events; compensation and labour relations; talent management; succession planning, values and ethics management.

Finance Department

The Finance Department is a centralized services provider designed to ensure that all operating revenues including investments and expenditures of the organization are properly managed and accounted for. It is the goal of the Finance Department to provide high level financial controls, systems, and reports needed to maintain and monitor budgets, as well as provide transparency and accountability to all external stakeholders and more importantly membership.
